Why the date matters
A certificate is only as good as it is recent
Most suppliers show you a certificate. Fewer publish when it was issued. A large batch purchased once may be sold for months using the same original test report. While the certificate remains valid, it becomes less representative of the material you receive as time passes.
We source in smaller quantities and replenish inventory more frequently, helping keep the time between testing and delivery intentionally short. The certificate tied to your vial reflects recent testing and remains representative of the material you receive.

Before you order
How recent is the testing on what I receive?
Every batch is assayed before it’s listed, and we publish the report date alongside the result. We buy in small quantities and reorder frequently rather than holding large lots for long periods, so the certificate you’re reading describes material close in age to the material you have.
What does “research use only” mean here?
These materials are supplied strictly as laboratory reagents. They are not drugs, foods, cosmetics or medical devices, they are not approved for human or veterinary use, and they are not supplied for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. Orders are accepted from research and institutional buyers only, and purchasers must be 18 or older and qualified to handle research materials.
Who runs the testing?
An independent analytical laboratory that we do not own and do not pay per result. Each batch is assayed before release, and the report published against that batch number is the report the laboratory sent us, unedited, pass or fail.
What happens if a batch fails?
It does not ship. Material that falls outside specification is quarantined and never enters saleable inventory. Our supplier agreements carry contractual recourse on failed lots, so the cost of a failure sits with the supplier rather than with you.
How should material be stored?
Lyophilized material should be kept sealed, frozen and protected from light. The storage conditions that apply to your specific compound are printed on the certificate for that batch, and we recommend following those rather than a general rule.
What if my batch number is not in the system?
Contact us with the number printed on the label and we will trace it. Every batch we release has a certificate on file, so a number that does not return a result is something we want to know about immediately.
